Welcome to the developing multi- and interdisciplinary 
European Animal Advocacy lecture – EAAL!

The EAAL as hybrid event is the outcome of the already 2001 started VAAL - Vienna Animal Advocacy Lecture.

And the EAAL will be now the main activity of the also 2001 started FEWD.at main research focus Animal Advocacy.

The EAAL as hybrid event with special focus on law, social sciences and geographically on (Eastern) Europe - is a special transnational project for better academic systematic networking on this topic.

The academic focuses are besides the humanities, social sciences and law. Especially to mention the different cooperations with members from Slavic and (East)-European studies.

EAAL partners are researchers from different universities all over Europe and abroad. 

The first EAAL will expectantly start as hybrid event in Vienna around spring 2027. And CEE will be the first focus. So, the next EAAL will be in cooperation of the CLPAN, the Centre for Legal Protection of Animals & Nature at Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, see https://prawozwierzat.wpia.uw.edu.pl/en/news/

The new EAAL lecture serial will be under the patronage of the Austrian and the Vienna governmental representative for animal welfare.

And in a few years the EEAW will be supported by the developing LRKF - Lengauer Rupert und Karoline Foundation!

Here in Vienna, it is especially worth mentioning the activity of the 2025 founded Vienna Animal Studies group.
