The multi- and interdisciplinary FEWD cooperates since its founding 2002 on several sociological research fields.

Therefore the FEWD received very useful inspiration from the 
ESA - European Sociological Association

Research Committee 47 Social Classes and Social Movements 
Research Committee 48 Social Movements, Collective Action and Social  Change 

Beside the topic of Civil society the FEWD research area animal advocacy and social movement established since 2002 a continous research on this  topic.
